Why the Blue Circle?
The blue circle was created in 2006 by the International Diabetes Federation (IDF) as the universal symbol for diabetes to give diabetes a common identity while showing support for the fight against diabetes. The symbol was originally developed for the campaign that resulted in the passage of United Nations Resolution 61/225, which recognizes November 14 as World Diabetes Day.
IDF holds all rights to the blue circle for diabetes.
